 Annual Fund
- This fund provides unrestricted support for the school’s immediate annual needs. The one year campaign ends June 30.
- Capital Campaign
- The Capital Campaign safeguards the school’s long-term physical needs.
Our top priority is to build the Performing Arts Center and all capita; gifts
will be used for this purpose. Capital Campaign commitments are generally 3-5 year financial commitments.
- Scholarships
- Scholarships provide
financial aid that is distributed to qualified
students based on the criteria established by
the scholarships’ founders.
- Endowment
- Endowments provide long-term financial support to
sustain the school’s mission and vision.
- Cash
- The most direct way to support Good Counsel is to make your gift by cash, check or credit card. Payments can be made online, or can be mailed to the school at:

- Pledges
- Annual Fund payments can be made over 1-12 months through June 30. Capital Campaign pledges can be made over years and paid monthly, quarterly, semi-annually or annually. Long-term payments allow the donor to increase the amount of support to the school and are greatly appreciated. Pledges can be made online, or a gift form can be sent to your or made verbally over the phone to the
Advancement Office at 240-283-3234.
- Gifts of Stock
- Gifts of appreciated stock normally offer a two-fold tax saving. The donor not only receives a charitable gift tax reduction for the fair market value of the security, but also avoids the capital gains tax on the appreciation. The transfer can be initiated by the donors broker and can be accomplished through an electronic transfer. The value of your gift will be the average of the high and the low trading prices on the official date of your gift.

- Matching Gifts
- Your gift can be doubled or tripled if you or your spouse’s employer matches charitable donations. Please contact your Human Resource department to ask whether yours is a participating matching gift company. If so, simply request a matching gift form, complete, and forward it to the
Advancement Office.
- Combined Federal Campaign/
United Way Campaign
- Donors may designate Good Counsel as a recipient
of their Combined Federal Campaign (CFC) and/or United Way contributions. Our
designation number is #22486 for CFC and #8478 for the United Way.
- Memorial/Honorary Gifts
- Donations in honor or memory of a classmate, relative or friend are a meaningful way to honor someone. These gifts are applied to the Annual Fund and are acknowledged in the Annual Report.
